Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Product Costing Engineer with a background in high-end or luxury packaging. This role is key in analyzing and estimating costs for custom packaging solutions made from diverse materials like wood, rigid boxes, fabric, and metal. You’ll collaborate closely with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure competitive pricing without compromising on quality or aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage cost models for complex, multi-material packaging.
• Evaluate material, labor, finishing, logistics, and production costs.
• Work with suppliers to gather quotes and cost breakdowns.
• Support pricing and quotation processes for new projects.
• Analyze cost variances and recommend improvements.
• Contribute early-stage cost input for new product development.
• Maintain costing data in ERP and internal systems.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Industrial, Packaging, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in costing, estimating, or production engineering in packaging or related industries.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills; ERP experience preferred.
• Familiarity with luxury materials and finishing processes.
• Ability to read technical specs and work cross-functionally.

Preferred:

• Experience in luxury packaging for beauty, spirits, or fashion brands.
• Knowledge of sustainable materials and cost optimization strategies.
• CAD or SolidWorks familiarity is a plus.
