Job Description

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Manage and grow key accounts within the food manufacturing sector, with a focus on Japanese clients. Establish and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the food manufacturing industry, with a special emphasis on expanding the portfolio among Japanese customers.
  • Customer Strategy: Develop and execute customized strategies to meet the specific needs of Japanese clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve sales targets and KPIs by collaborating closely with the sales team, marketing, and operational departments to align efforts and meet customer expectations.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on market trends and competitors, particularly in the Japanese food manufacturing market, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work with production, logistics, and R&D teams to ensure product delivery and quality meet the standards and specifications of Japanese clients.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations, handle contract renewals, and manage price adjustments with Japanese clients, ensuring win-win agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry, with a focus on Japanese clients.
  • Skills:
    • Strong business acumen with proven expertise in sales and account management.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in both Thai and English.
    • Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships with Japanese clients.
    • In-depth knowledge of the food manufacturing sector, especially in Japan.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Language: Native Japanese speaker with fluency in English and Thai (spoken and written).
  • Other Requirements:
    • Strong ability to navigate cross-cultural communication and business practices between Japan and Thailand.
    • Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
