Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage import activities for raw materials and packaging (majority imported SKUs)
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers for on-time clearance and delivery
- Handle import documentation and coordinate directly with government authorities (FDA/อย., Thai Customs)
- Manage regulated and controlled food ingredients and ensure full regulatory compliance
- Monitor shipments, lead times, and resolve delays, discrepancies, and specification issues
- Manage urgent shipments to prevent production disruption
- Plan and manage raw materials for assigned SKUs and confirm material availability for production
- Monitor inventory, safety stock, shelf life, and material expiry
- Manage long-lead-time materials and backlog situations
- Maintain accurate import and material data in ERP systems
- Progressively support and lead a small materials planning team
- Coordinate across multiple factories and warehouse locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 5–7 years’ experience in import, logistics, shipping, or customs in manufacturing (food industry preferred)
- Strong experience in import clearance and regulatory coordination (FDA/อย., Thai Customs)
- Experience of working with freight forwarders and overseas suppliers
- ERP system experience
- Good English communication and negotiation skills
