Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale trials based on approved formulations and test plans
• Perform testing on raw materials and finished products to support R&D activities
• Evaluate basic product attributes such as texture, appearance, stability, and shelf-life performance
• Support product development and ideation by preparing samples, running trials, and collecting test data
• Work closely with bakery/patisserie teams to refine product concepts through experimental feedback
• Record, analyze, and summarize experimental and shelf-life results accurately
• Prepare and maintain R&D documentation, including formulations, test reports, and material specifications
• Develop, update, and manage R&D-related SOPs and support team compliance
• Maintain R&D document control systems, including version control and document registers
• Support quality systems and audits (internal and external), including ISO and related standards
• Assist with corrective and preventive actions related to audit findings
• Carry out other R&D-related tasks as assigned by senior team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in food R&D within a manufacturing or production environment
• Hands-on experience with quality systems such as GMP, HACCP, ISO, or equivalent standards

Skills & Competencies

• Strong experimental and analytical skills
• Good documentation and technical writing ability
• Familiarity with shelf-life studies and product testing methods
• Detail-oriented with good data recording and organizational skills
• Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Comfortable working in a structured, quality-driven environment
