Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale trials based on approved formulations and test plans
- Perform testing on raw materials and finished products to support R&D activities
- Evaluate basic product attributes such as texture, appearance, stability, and shelf-life performance
- Support product development and ideation by preparing samples, running trials, and collecting test data
- Work closely with bakery/patisserie teams to refine product concepts through experimental feedback
- Record, analyze, and summarize experimental and shelf-life results accurately
- Prepare and maintain R&D documentation, including formulations, test reports, and material specifications
- Develop, update, and manage R&D-related SOPs and support team compliance
- Maintain R&D document control systems, including version control and document registers
- Support quality systems and audits (internal and external), including ISO and related standards
- Assist with corrective and preventive actions related to audit findings
- Carry out other R&D-related tasks as assigned by senior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food R&D within a manufacturing or production environment
- Hands-on experience with quality systems such as GMP, HACCP, ISO, or equivalent standards
Skills & Competencies
- Strong experimental and analytical skills
- Good documentation and technical writing ability
- Familiarity with shelf-life studies and product testing methods
- Detail-oriented with good data recording and organizational skills
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working in a structured, quality-driven environment
