Key Responsibilities
- Be a Senior-level role with end-to-end ownership of category strategy and profitability.
- Lead overall category and commodity strategy to drive sales growth, margin, and long-term profitability.
- Own full P&L responsibility for assigned categories.
- Manage end-to-end category activities including assortment planning, pricing strategy, promotion planning, and product lifecycle management.
- Drive Own Brand / Private Label initiatives to enhance competitiveness and value proposition.
- Manage and negotiate with key suppliers to achieve commercial objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution and product launches.
- Analyze market trends and category performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers / merchandisers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related fields; a Master’s degree is an advantage
- 10+ years’ experience in category management, merchandising, procurement, or commodity management within retail, wholesale, or FMCG.
- Proven experience with P&L ownership and strong commercial acumen.
- Strong background in supplier management and negotiation.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Good command of English.
