Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven and strategic Category Manager – Kids & Learning Products to lead the growth and performance of the assigned product portfolio. This role is responsible for developing category strategy, optimizing product assortment, managing supplier partnerships, and driving overall profitability.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening market positioning, identifying new growth opportunities, and ensuring sustainable category expansion.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for Kids & Learning Products, including toys, educational items, and school-related products.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from sourcing and selection to launch, promotion, and discontinuation.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead new product development and sourcing initiatives with local and international suppliers.
  • Manage category P&L, including sales targets, margin performance, and inventory turnover.
  • Conduct pricing strategy and promotional planning to enhance competitiveness and revenue growth.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and agreements with suppliers to optimize cost and profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth execution and product availability.
  • Monitor inventory health and manage stock levels to minimize aging and excess inventory.
  • Lead and develop team members to achieve category objectives.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, or Merchandising within retail or consumer products industry.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with proven experience managing category performance.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and sourcing (international sourcing is an advantage).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Good command of English.
