Job Description
- Manage and oversee all R&D activities according to the approved work plan, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Provide expert advice on developing new and existing products, including managing production formula documentation.
- Drive product development to meet customer requirements and comply with regulatory standards.
- Establish and implement operational guidelines (Master Plan) aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Set departmental goals, standards, and key performance indicators, while planning budget and controlling operational costs.
- Organize workflows, define procedures, and participate in workforce planning to optimize team performance.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support collaborative projects and information sharing.
- Communicate company policies clearly and ensure team compliance, while fostering a positive work culture and high morale.
- Develop and train staff, conduct performance evaluations, and handle merit or disciplinary actions as appropriate.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in production quality and operational standards, including 5S, ISO, and GMP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years’ experience in R&D within food manufacturing, preferably food canning.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, etc.
- Skilled in product formulation, recipe optimization, and developing production processes to meet market needs.
- Proven problem-solving abilities in product development and manufacturing.
- Experience leading and developing R&D teams.
- Eager to adopt new technologies and drive innovation in product development.
- Work schedule: Monday to Saturday, with alternate Saturdays off.
