Job Description

Responsible for driving research and development initiatives in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The position will focus on developing innovative product formulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting cost optimization, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the development process.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute research programs aligned with company strategies.
  • Develop new product formulations and prepare specifications (finished product, marketing, raw material).
  • Establish and implement test methods for new products and raw materials.
  • Lead technology transfer from laboratory to commercial production with cross-functional teams.
  • Plan and conduct shelf-life studies; analyze and present results.
  • Manage change requests to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, and internal quality standards.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives and implement effective control measures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory and office environment.
  • Supervise, train, and assign deputies to cover responsibilities when needed.
  • Handle BOM, purchasing requests, and material requisitions.
  • Participate actively in Continuous Improvement and WCM programs.
  • Monitor external R&D resources and industry trends for best practices.
  • Report and resolve issues related to the Food Safety Management System..

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science & Technology or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge in Food Science & Technology, with proven experience in Product Development
  • High competency in analytical and logical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, creativity, proactivity, communication, and planning
  • Solid skills in business acumen, marketing, leadership, and team supervision
  • Good command of English
