Total Quality Manager – Food Business

 

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership & Team Management

  • Foster a quality-driven culture by embedding TQM and food safety principles across the organization.
  • Lead and develop a cross-functional quality team, providing training and mentorship.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000.
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GFSI, and local food laws).
  • Implement and maintain ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000).
  • Conduct and prepare for SMETA audits, ensuring ethical and responsible sourcing.

Process & Supplier Quality Management

  • Establish and enforce quality control measures across production and supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to ensure high-quality raw materials and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and supplier assessments to verify adherence to safety and ethical standards.

Risk & Performance Management

  • Identify and mitigate food safety risks and quality-related issues.
  • Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to track quality performance and improvement areas.
  • Define and report KPIs on quality, food safety, and compliance to senior management.

Customer & Ethical Considerations

  • Ensure a customer-centric approach, incorporating feedback into quality improvement strategies.
  • Uphold ethical and sustainable business practices, aligning with corporate responsibility goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, food safety, or quality management.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and SMETA compliance.
  • Proven team management and leadership experience.
  • Expertise in food safety protocols, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quality data analysis tools.
  • Experience in audit preparation, supplier quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
