Job Description
- Sales Territory: SEA (Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand)
- Manage direct and indirect sales channels within the assigned region.
- Set and oversee sales goals, pricing, and product positioning.
- Collaborate with the Operations Director to meet customer specifications, delivery timelines, and expectations; participate in Sales Operation Planning meetings.
- Analyze customer warranties and implement preventive measures.
- Prepare and monitor sales forecasts and profitability targets.
- Adhere to Clean Order Protocol and ensure accurate customer requirements for design and approval.
- Support global key account management initiatives.
- Develop and execute annual tactical plans and long-term growth strategies.
- Travel to provide training, support, and leadership to local teams and meet trade and intercompany sales objectives.
- Analyze and share market and competitor insights.
- Work with management at all levels to implement strategies aligned with sales goals.
- Offer market outlooks and detailed assessments of sales-driving factors.
- Record and follow up on sales leads in CRM or relevant tools.
- Protect intellectual property and safeguard product designs and specifications.
- Contribute to regional and global marketing events (e.g., symposiums, exhibitions, seminars).
- Propose and support product and application development efforts globally and regionally.
- Develop sales staff for career growth and succession planning.
- Support all assigned regional and global initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Science or Engineering
- 8+ years’ experience in International Sales Management
- Extensive experiences in Plastic industry, particularly in injection or extrusion
- Good command in Japanese & English
- Strong market analysis, strategic planning, leadership and teambuilding skills.
- Understanding and aptitude for requirements and issues.
- Must be able to travel approx. 70% of the time, including international travel.
- Ability to build a successful team
- Demonstrated track record who has delivered exceptional sales results at large multi-national accounts
- Experience with managing direct and reseller/agents
- Successful management in a “matrixed” organization
