  • Drive overall financial performance by preparing forecasts and tracking actual results against budgets and business plans, ensuring the company’s financial stability and sustainability.
  • Take full fiduciary responsibility for maintaining the financial health of the organization.
  • Prepare and close company financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Lead and manage all financial reporting activities, including income statement, balance sheet, and expense reports, as well as reporting to funding or regulatory bodies and monitoring departmental budgets.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal company policies, including tax and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, conduct regular audits to strengthen internal controls, and respond promptly to audit findings and inquiries.
  • Establish, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for finance operations to support efficient daily processes, including providing training and guidance to team members.
  • Produce accurate, data-driven financial insights and analyses to support business decisions, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional planning.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, organization, and coordination within the finance department to achieve operational effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on economic conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact financial and accounting practices.
  • Act as the Local Compliance Officer (LCO), ensuring adherence to legal requirements and alignment with global financial standards as well as local accounting regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Controlling, with CPD certification or CPA qualification; strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting standards is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing end-to-end finance functions, preferably within international organizations in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership and general management skills, with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement and uphold high standards of compliance and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and the local language, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a regional or global working environment.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
