Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Production Planning and Materials Planning teams to improve efficiency and performance
- Develop and implement planning policies and operational procedures
- Ensure timely material ordering aligned with sales orders and forecasts
- Monitor inventory issues, obsolete and slow-moving materials, and propose improvement actions
- Supervise procurement of direct and indirect materials and related services
- Ensure sourcing follows company purchasing policies with cost-effective results
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations
- Lead team performance management, coaching, and workforce development
- Conduct team meetings and communicate plans and business updates
- Maintain and support ISO systems and operational compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (MBA is an advantage)
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing with leadership exposure across Production/Materials Planning, Supply Chain, or Procurement, including strong expertise in MRP/MPS, inventory control, and procurement processes
- Background in Automotive, Electronics, Medical, or Technology manufacturing with exposure to precision/engineered components (e.g., foam, elastomer, rubber, die casting, film, or similar)
- Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination skills
- Good communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities
- Results-driven, proactive, and able to work independently
- Familiar with ISO systems and continuous improvement practices
