We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Buyer (Direct Material) to support sourcing and procurement activities for manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for supplier management, cost control, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in line with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase direct materials and related services to support production and new projects
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers
- Manage and maintain good relationships with existing and new suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery, quality, and cost
- Conduct basic market analysis to identify risks and opportunities
- Support cost reduction and cost control initiatives
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or supply
- Support contract-related activities and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (Automotive manufacturing background preferred)
- Experience with direct materials is an advantage
- Good communication skills in English
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
