Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Costing Analyst to join a dynamic and growing organization in the manufacturing and food production sector. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, analyzing cost structures, and supporting strategic pricing decisions that directly impact business profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive product costing analyses, including activity-based costing and standard costing, to ensure accurate product and project cost allocations.
  • Evaluate and monitor product margins across multiple categories, identifying non-compliant items or cost variances and providing timely recommendations to management for corrective action.
  • Support pricing strategies by preparing detailed cost models, profitability reports, and simulations to assist commercial and finance teams in decision-making.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to validate cost assumptions and ensure alignment between operational performance and financial outcomes.
  • Prepare and review annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to track performance and identify opportunities for cost improvement.
  • Utilize ERP systems to extract and analyze cost data, ensuring data integrity and alignment with accounting standards.
  • Continuously refine costing methodologies and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost management.
  • Prepare financial presentations and reports that clearly communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in product costing, cost analysis, or financial planning within a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in financial modelling.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
