Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on R&D Manager to lead the development of innovative bakery and confectionery products—from concept through commercialization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food science, a passion for product innovation, and proven leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new product development and improvement projects.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, production, and supply chain teams.
- Conduct lab, pilot, and full-scale production trials.
- Ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging ingredients.
- Optimize formulations for quality and cost efficiency.
- Oversee R&D planning, budgets, and timelines.
- Liaise with suppliers and external research partners.
- Maintain technical documentation and protect proprietary knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Food Science or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in food R&D, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of ingredients, processing, and compliance.
- Practical experience with pilot-scale equipment.
- Strong communication and team management skills.
- HACCP, GMP, or FSSC 22000 certification is a plus.
