Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Production Director to lead the setup and operations of our new state-of-the-art jewelry manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia. This new facility will employ approximately 700–800 staff and serve as a key manufacturing hub supporting the company’s strategic growth.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in jewelry production management or related manufacturing industries, combined with expertise in setting up new plants, building teams, and driving efficient production processes. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of plant operations from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full setup and operational launch of the new production plant.
- Develop, recruit, and train large-scale production teams to meet operational demands.
- Establish, implement, and optimize production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations, production planning, resource allocation, and output performance.
- Implement continuous improvement programs and cost control measures to drive plant efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality control, logistics, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Maintain strict compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local labor laws.
- Report directly to senior management and provide strategic recommendations for plant performance and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of production management experience, preferably in jewelry manufacturing or precision industries.
- Proven experience in setting up new production plants (greenfield projects).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop large teams.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Previous experience working in Southeast Asia is an advantage but not mandatory.
