Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain a complete and consistent customer database for assigned territory (including complete address and name information, existing equipment, account qualification, detailed projections, buying influences, and other fields as demanded by address book)
- Develop creative sales strategies for all potential accounts within territory, taking all buying influences into consideration with minimal guidance only
- Exploits existing client relationships to effectively influence other accounts and to promote upgrade business
- Establish and maintain relationship with All contacts at qualified accounts through visits, follow-up letters, phone calls, attending medical congresses, and alike. Systematically develop coach in each account, create strong emotional relationship, create informal network within own area
- Manage the complete sales cycle (including comprehensive product presentation/evaluation, closing, negotiating the contract, configuration adjustments, delivery, installation, and after sales support)
- Arrange and conduct customer site visits or in-house visits
- Ensure timely involvement in all applicable tenders. Ideally consult customers in selection of optimal tender specifications. Prepare necessary documents for tenders and support administrative personnel in head office with suitable answering strategy (including quotation, letter, answering of technical questions etc.)
- Develop regular pattern of contacting customers and related decision makers based on status and necessity of sales projects and stay knowledgeable regarding the situation of each account, distributor, and market.
- Communicate frequently and proactively with colleagues and share relevant information about competitors, partners, customers and alike using e.g. the forum provided in the Intranet; provide feedback to marketing, co-ooperate with colleagues from Support Department to prepare for Clinical Loaners, etc.
- Share account information with colleagues and stimulate cross selling
- Communicate continuously with distributors, agents (if existing), and strategic partners in order to train them, to develop shared sales strategies and exchange information. Support selection of suitable distribution partner
- Provide superior with detailed sales forecast
- Maintain a high degree knowledge through continuous self-training, including but not limited to medical product and competitive information
- Maintain and further develop a professional, innovative, and sympathy driven image of company with customers and competitors
- Monitor own costs and ensure to stay within budget.
Qualifications
- A demonstrated track record for meeting sales objectives in a Medical Device company
- A solid understanding of the medical device business.
- Good command of English.
- Flexible with travel.
