Job Description

Role Purpose

The Buyer will ensure smooth company operations by sourcing and securing materials and services at competitive terms while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. This role plays a critical part in supplier management, contract negotiations, and supporting new project launches in alignment with the company’s purchasing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for goods, materials, and services to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring a professional and ethical approach at all times.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Analyze costs and drive cost reduction initiatives to improve total cost of ownership.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures in all negotiations and contract awards.
  • Track supplier performance, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain business continuity.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure procured goods meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Resolve issues related to price, quality, delivery, or invoices in a timely manner.
  • Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts (NDA, LOI, development agreements, etc.).
  • Support supplier readiness for production, including prototypes and PPAP samples.
  • Promote sustainability by selecting suppliers that adhere to eco-friendly and ethical practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of procurement experience in the automotive industry.
  • Background in both direct and indirect material sourcing; experience in greenfield or new plant setup is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and contract management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage suppliers and work cross-functionally.
  • Fluent in English and Thai, with strong written and verbal communication.
