Job Description
- Oversee the Finance and Accounting department.
- Ensure financial procedures comply with accounting policies.
- Manage Consolidated Financial Statements and BPC Financial Statements.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting Managers within Sime Darby Motor Group (Thailand) to enhance consolidation and BPC reporting.
- Approve various accounting documents, including payment vouchers, credit/debit notes, inter-company vouchers, and petty cash vouchers for SDTH & SDAS.
- Authorize cheques, telegraphic transfers, and bank drafts for payments such as rent, utilities, and suppliers, ensuring accuracy.
- Oversee the timely preparation and submission of the Monthly Financial Report.
- Verify Monthly Reports and prepare Monthly Management Reports for management meetings.
- Develop the Annual Management Plan and Internal Budget, coordinating with departmental managers to compile sales budgets, determine expenses, and assess other income.
- Ensure timely preparation of Half-Yearly and Annual Financial Accounts.
- Calculate tax liabilities every half year, analyze deductible and non-deductible expenses, compute capital allowances, and finalize taxable income.
- Monitor and manage bank guarantees, insurance, and other measures to safeguard company assets.
- Maintain close communication with external and internal auditors.
- Review bank reconciliations and other financial reconciliations, ensuring outstanding items are addressed.
- Oversee the annual physical asset identification exercise.
- For year-end account:
- Analyze and assist in determining if any provision needed or any write back required.
- Prepare the financial ratio highlights.
- Administrative Functions for Finance and Account Dept.:

- Obtaining quotation for purchase of Fixed Assets
- Initiate the raising of capital expenditure form.
- Any other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned by the General Manager or Financial Controller from time to time.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years’ experience in finance & accounting management (International companies)
- Good in reporting consolidation, budgeting and forecasting experience, in addition to the accounting tax and audit experience
- Computer Literacy
- Good command in English
- SAP or ERP
