Job Description
- Offer legal guidance and support to local management and business/sales teams on significant legal matters related to the freight forwarding and logistics industries, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and DSV Group policies.
- Review and negotiate customer/commercial contracts and tender-related terms in alignment with DSV Group policies, assisting local business/sales teams in coordinating with Group Legal, Insurance, and other relevant Group entities on contract terms.
- Handle corporate law matters, including drafting and maintaining articles of association and procedural rules for local companies, ensuring adherence to global corporate practices and local regulations, and assisting with annual shareholder meetings and general corporate compliance.
- Provide legal support on significant claims and litigation, liaising with DSV Group Legal as needed, and ensure proper reporting of such matters.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel for significant claims/litigation in collaboration with local, regional, and divisional management, as well as Group Legal.
- Interact with local authorities, such as customs and police, on critical legal and regulatory issues as required.
- Stay updated on changes in industry-specific local laws/regulations and provide guidance on their impact.
- Prepare regular internal reports on legal matters, including claims and litigation updates.
Qualifications
- Must be a fully qualified lawyer or solicitor licensed to practice in Thailand.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an in-house legal counsel or as an attorney with a reputable law firm, preferably specializing in general corporate law, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts/transactions.
- Demonstrate excellent proficiency in English at a professional business/legal level.
- Ideally, have prior knowledge and experience in the transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics industries.
